Welcome to My Thoughts

Recently a shooting occurred at a high school in my area.when i heard about it, i was beyond disturbed. i honestly would have never thought something like that would happen. i bet many of you say the same thing about your school or schools in your area. "oh that will never happen at my school, i know the people here and they wouldn't do that". well... do you really know them? no, i do not think you do. many people think they know me, but sometimes, they dont. from hearing this news about the shooting ive realized many things: #1. never EVER take ANYTHING for granted. yes, i know you hear that a lot and you may not know what it fully means. your not alone. ive heard it multiple times and just let it go through one ear and out the other. it took many real life examples of dangerous situations for me to finally understand. be grateful for what you have. please! just take the time to sit down and think of all the things you have as big as having a family to as little as having clean water to drink. #2. anything can happen at any time. just because you think you know and are familiar with where you are, still take precaution, be aware of your surroundings because you  never know when danger can strike. here today, gone tomorrow. and finally #3. BULLYING! ITS REAL PEOPLE! and it keeps occurring! adults often try to fix this problem but yet its still broken! why?! well, ive thought of every  possible answer and sometime when you want to figure things out you have to place yourself in someone else's shoes and i did just that. it makes me so upset to hear about another shooting or another suicide because of bullying. and the only thing most adults can say is "when you're being bullied tell an adult" NO! that option has been crossed out in many books which leads to the next step: death. victims of bullying simply do not want to tell an adult because it may only worsen the entire situation. what in the world can an adult possibly do to end the bullying 100%. we live in a world were the world wide web is real and it can make you or brake you. if they aren't being bullied physically, the bully will most likely move their disgusting tactics to the internet, which only makes matters worse. most of the time adults do nothing to begin with! i believe the answer to end all bullying is: FRIENDSHIP. YES! F-R-I-E-N-D-S-H-I-P. you can change someones entire life just by being their friend!

and to all the bystanders... Gandhi once said "Be the change you want to see in the world". take that first step and be determined to be a friend to someone. ANYONE! you never know what they have going on in their life. i understand you may not want to get involved in any bullying situation but think about it... would you rather be afraid and filled with regret or save a life? welcome to my thoughts.
